Following a quarterfinal appearance in the NAIA National Tournament last season, Auburn Montgomery men's soccer head coach Wulf Koch has announced the addition of four local prep standouts for the upcoming 2013 season.
Joining the Warhawks in the fall will be former Brewbaker Tech standout Alan Harwell, Stanhope Elmore's Brandon Perez, LAMP's Grant Dukes and Prattville's Stephen Ingram. The four newcomers will join former Alabama Christian defender Zach Scott as newcomers to the program.
Harwell, a 6-0, 170-pound forward, comes to AUM after attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham last year. During his four-year career at Brew Tech, Harwell was a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year candidate for the state of Alabama. He finished his career with 127 goals, a mark which ranks sixth in the Alabama High School Athletic Association's history, while adding 53 assists.
