Opelika man found shot to death over the weekend | Crime
OPELIKA, AL (WSFA) - Opelika Police have initiated a homicide investigation after a man was found dead from a shot to the leg on Saturday morning.
Authorities were called to the 100 block of South 3rd Street around 1:40 a.m. on Saturday. When they arrived, they located 21-year-old Jarron Holloway lying on the ground near a residence with no signs of life.
Holloway was pronouced dead on the scene fron an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. His body has been transported to the Department of Forensic Sciences Medical Examiner's office in Montgomery for an autopsy.
Police say this case is being investigated as a homicide and remaind under investigation by the Opelika Police Department.
