Annual Christmas Open House at Pioneer Park's Second Saturday is today!

Pioneer Park’s gift to the area--its annual Christmas Open House--is todayday, December 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST.  Punch and cookies are served in the big red Trade Center Museum.  Second Saturdays at Pioneer Park include something for everyone in the family and all activities are free of charge.

The entire park is open for visiting, with most holiday activities in the Museum.  Santa is downstairs by the Christmas tree, ready to hear children’s wishes.  Photographs are encouraged.  Mrs. Claus is upstairs, reading stories, and there is a children’s cookie decorating station.  The Whistle Stop Dulcimers provide holiday music.

The Pioneer Park blacksmiths, spinners and weavers will be practicing their crafts for those who wish to observe, and for those wishing to do some Christmas shopping, Pioneer Park t-shirts, jellies, Whistle Stop Dulcimer CDs and books are available for sale.  The Park will close at 2 p.m.
